  • Your photos and videos stay on your device. We never upload them anywhere.
  • We do not operate any server and we hold no account for you.
  • The app shows Google AdMob ads. Google collects device and advertising data to serve them.
  • Your app password is stored on your device only. We cannot recover or reset it.
  • Uninstalling the app removes the app’s private data from your device.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Clock (“the app”, “we”, “our”) is an Android application that works as a clock and as a private vault for storing photos and videos on your own device. This policy explains what information the app handles, what our advertising partner collects, and what choices you have.

This policy applies only to the Clock Android app distributed through Google Play. It does not cover any other app, website, or service.

2. Information that stays on your device

The following is stored in the app’s private storage area on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and we have no ability to read it:

We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the above.

3. Information collected by our advertising partner

The app displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To serve, measure, and control the frequency of ads, Google’s advertising SDK collects information directly from your device. This includes:

This information is collected by Google as an independent data controller under its own policies. We receive only aggregated, non-identifying reporting, for example total impressions and estimated earnings. We never receive information that identifies you.

To understand how Google uses this data, please read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Rewarded ads

The app offers an optional rewarded ad. If you choose to watch it, the app records a timestamp locally so that it can stay ad-free for a limited period afterwards. Watching a rewarded ad is voluntary and the timestamp never leaves your device.

4. What we do not do

5. Permissions the app requests, and why

Android asks for your consent before granting sensitive permissions. You can refuse or later revoke any of them in Settings → Apps → Clock → Permissions; some features will then stop working.

6. How your information is stored and protected

We want to be precise here rather than reassuring:

No method of storage is completely secure. Please keep a device screen lock enabled, keep your Android version up to date, and keep separate backups of anything irreplaceable.

7. Sharing and disclosure

We do not share your personal content with anyone. The only third party that receives data is Google, in its role as our advertising provider, as described in section 3.

Because we do not hold your data on any server, we cannot disclose it to authorities or any other party, even if we were required to.

8. Retention and deletion

9. Your choices about advertising

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent.

For your vault content these rights are exercised directly on your device, because you already hold and control all of it and we hold none of it. For advertising data, the controller is Google, so requests should be directed to Google using the links in section 3, or handled through the Android advertising settings in section 9.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA and CPRA.

11. Children’s privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13, and its Google Play target audience is set accordingly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, please contact us and we will assist as far as we are able, although in practice all such data would reside solely on the child’s own device.

12. International users

The app itself processes data only on your device, so no international transfer takes place on our side. Advertising data collected by Google may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, under the safeguards described in Google’s privacy policy.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when a feature or an advertising partner changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be highlighted at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

14. Contact us

For any question or request about this policy or about how the app handles data:

We aim to reply within 30 days.
